featuring the same content as previous download only edition, is

is still no confirmation about the CD version of the score, the
vinyl edition has been announced and can be pre-ordered from Big Wax. The release date is set for early
January. "This was indeed a special one for us. What you hear is
what we recorded, all of it… well… minus the rehearsal takes of
course. This movie is VERY impressive and powerful on its own, even
without music. JF Richet really wanted to bring in as little music
as possible, yet when it comes in, it really needed to be powerful
and emotional. The players were phenomenal, totally understood the
impact the music is supposed to have within the context of the film,
and as you can hear, they gave it their all."

nominated for the Golden Globe Marco
Beltrami has been nominated for the Golden Globe for his score for A
QUIET PLACE. This marks Marco Beltrami's first nomination. The other
nominees are: Alexandre Desplat (The Isle of Dogs), Ludwig Goransson
(Black Panther), First Man (Justin Hurwitz) and Marc Shaiman (Mary
Poppins Returns).

Beltrami will attend San Diego Comic-Con From FMR: The line-up of the 6th Annual
Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel has been
announced. The event offers a behind-the-scenes look at the music of
today’s biggest superhero film and TV projects with unreleased film
clips and never-before-heard music. Participating composers include
Marco Beltrami whose superhero movie scoring credits include Logan,
The Wolverine, Fantastic Four and Hellboy, Christophe Beck who
recently scored Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp and previously scored
the original Ant-Man movie, as well as Elektra and Tyler Bates who
recently scored Deadpool 2 and has also composed the music for the
Guardians of the Galaxy movies, as well as the Watchmen film
adaptation. Also participating are Kurt Farquhar who is scoring the
CW’s TV series Black Lightning and Blake Neely whose current scoring
credits include the CW’s Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of
Tomorrow. The event will be moderated by Ray Costa of Costa
Communications and will take place on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at
10:00am at the Indigo Ballroom at the San Diego Convention
Center.

2018: April 30: new
project: UNDERWATER Marco Beltrami
has recently started working on upcoming thriller UNDERWATER
starring Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick and Vincent
Cassell. The movie, directed by William Eubank (The Signal),
resolves around a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble
to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean
laboratory. 20th Century Fox will released the movie later in 2018.
Here is a quote about the project from recent FSMO interview: "The next thing is a movie for
Fox called Underwater, which is a scary movie. Returning to my
roots here, I guess. It’s a really interesting project in many ways.
It has a young director [William Eubank] and he’s an interesting
guy. He takes electronic music classes himself, so he knows a little
bit about it and is really into utilizing some of the stuff in the
score. I think it’s going to be really fun working with him. We’re
just starting on it. I’m doing it as a co-score with someone that I
work with, Brandon Roberts, so we’re just starting to put some ideas
together. We had some sessions with some singers, creating these
sharper tones. I think it’s going to be cool."

Records has finally announced CD release of MATHILDE, which is
currently available to pre-order (with expected shipping
date early next week) from the label's website where you can also listen to a
number of samples. The CD is limited to 500 copies only so better do

announced Milan Records will
release Marco Beltrami's score for A QUIET PLACE on May 11th. The
album is currently available to pre-order from Amazon. Considering the movie opens early next
month it is likely going to be available digitally sooner.

soundtrack album coming soon MovieScore Media will release Marco Beltrami's long awaited
score for Russian drama MATHILDE. The score album will be available
digitally on March 16th, while CD version will be released by

Marco Beltrami provides new score for FORTNITE Marco
Beltrami and Pinar Toprak co-composed new original score for
videogame FORTNITE. Beltrami said seeing Fortnite and its gameplay
was crucial when creating the new score. "When I first heard about
the game, I had an image in my head and you respond musically to
that image. But, until you actually see it and see how it works, it
really changes," he said. "Because it sounds like it could be kind
of dark. You know, the monsters are coming and you have to defend
and shoot them. But it has more of a family-type of feel to it. I
think the fact that you’re not just defending yourself, but also
trying to save other people ... all of these things are really
important elements musically, because music is the emotional
undercurrent of the story. And the player has to feel that." Check
