At the same time you can already pre-order the following CD featuring Marco Beltrami's music on US Amazon - MESRINE album consists of pieces selected from both french ganster movies following notorious gangster Mesrine. Both scores were recorded in Paris in August and about 75% of the music was composed by Marcus Trumpp with the rest provided by Marco Beltrami and Dana Niu. The CD is released this Monday in France (EMI Records) and US Amazon should start shipping the orders only one day later. The first samples from the score are available onFrench Amazon  .

21/10/08: MAX PAYNE soundtrack is now available on LaLaLand Records - to order the cd click on the image. The first copies are signed by Marco Beltrami and co-composer Buck Sanders.

19/10/08: MAX PAYNE soundtrack will be released this Tuesday by LaLaLand records. First 100 copies should be signed by the composer. Currently it hasn't been confirmed if Buck Sanders (who co-composed the score) will be also signing it. The music is described asVery carpenteresque in some cues and one downright beautiful cue straight out of the funeral scene from Hellboy. No adaptation of music from the videgame is included. Awesome score though. Approximately one month later selections from two MESRINE movies will be released on CD in France. 75% of the score included in both films was composed by Marcus Trumpp with the rest provided by Dana Niu and Marco Beltrami. The score was recorded in August in France and you can already pre-order the CDhere .  A brief sample from the score is available on the films'official website . Marco Beltrami is currently working on Alex Proyas' upcoming KNOWING. The trailer of the film is locatedhere .

So far there are no news about more upcoming releases and following projects.

And as always there is something new in the pipeline and they are currently working on a sci-fi REPOSSESSION MAMBO, which is set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed. The film was directed by Miguel Sapochnik (The Dreamer) based on the script by Eric Garcia adapted from his own novel. It includes rather promising casts of Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Liev Schreiber and Alice Braga. The film will be released by Universal Pictures. No release date has been set yet.

01/05/08: From Mikael Carlsson's Upcoming Film Scores blog: "Marco Beltrami has scored AMUSEMENT, the upcoming horror film directed by John Simpson (Freeze Frame). Beltrami replaced Debbie Wiseman as the composer on the film after she had to withdraw due to conflicting schedules. AMUSEMENT is a classic stalker thriller, to be released by Picturehouse Entertainment and New Line Cinema in September. Stars include Jessica Lucas, Katheryn Winnick and Laura Breckenridge. Beltrami has also written the music for THE HURT LOCKER, Kathryn Bigelow's Iraq war thriller starring Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce and David Morse."
